CUSTOM COATED FABRICS
All of our products start as custom designs, developed for our customer's specific needs. Our extensive development resources shared by all Worthen sales groups can develop unique properties through chemistry and flexible converting to suit most needs. Our development process begins in the lab with bench chemistry to develop coatings and compounds and produce hand samples for initial evaluation. SPECIALTY COATINGS & COMPOUNDS
We offer a limited number of coatings, either water or solvent based, for use in your operations as an adhesive, for repairs or subsequent converting to supplement your product. We also offer a limited number of TPR compounds based on EPDM for your in-house process of extruding continuous formed hose to enhance your product line.


SPECIALTY COVERS AND TARPS
We can coat textiles (woven or nonwoven) for specialty covers and tarps using the below listed chemistries. The chemistry of choice will be determined by the physical, environmental, and flame retardant properties required for the application.
- Vinyl
- Urethane
- Neoprene
- Silicone
- TPR (thermoplastic rubber)

HVAC / DUCT WORK
We can coat glass fabrics for HVAC duct work requiring high service temperatures and flame resistance using the following chemistries:
- Neoprene or Silicone
- Typical Coating weight range: 12.0 – 32.0 oz/sq.yd
- Gauge: 0.014 - 0.025 inches
- Width: up to 60 inches (slitting options available)

SOFT WALL / TENT STRUCTURE
We can coat textiles (woven or nonwoven) for soft wall structures or reinforcing seaming and/or edging materials. We use the following coating chemistries to achieve our customer’s performance requirements:
- Vinyl Plastisol
- Polyethylene
- Silicone
- Urethane
- Typical range of coating weight: 6.0-32.0 oz/yd2
- Gauge & Width: 0.010” - 0.025” gauge up to 62” wide

FLEXIBLE DUCTING
Worthen PCF manufactures a complete line of coated fabrics for the flexible ducting market including: Neoprene, Acrylic, Silicone, and TPR (thermoplastic rubber). Substrates are typically a woven fabric, including but not limited to; polyester, cotton, nylon, and fiberglass.
