Sustainability & Quality
INNOVATION IN SUSTAINABILITY
Our R&D team is focused on “green chemistry” and a major component of product testing is its efficacy as having low-impact on the environment. We are using the latest production technologies to maximize output, minimize waste, and thereby achieve sustainability goals.
We hold an ISO 14001Environmental Management System certification at both of our NH facilities. Our Nashua North facility has achieved bluesign® System Partner recognition in late 2015. Bluesign® is a comprehensive European-based product stewardship and environmental sustainability certification for textile and allied industries. Worthen is one of the few U.S. facilities to achieve this System Partner status.
Our quality policy is to satisfy the needs and expectations of our customers. This is accomplished through understanding customer requirements, providing consistent quality products that meet or exceed all performance requirements while promoting full employee involvement and empowerment. Worthen, as part of our commitment to our customers, shall establish and maintain an ISO 9001 compliant Quality Management System, as well as always seeking ways to improve our services, products and the value of those products and services to our customers.
It is also our policy to promote and maintain environmentally responsible practices and safe work practices for the benefit of our customers, consumers, employees and the communities in which we operate. Please follow the links below to view these policies, as well as our recent VEEP acceptance for our Richmond, VA facility.
